Over five million children in the UK could be heading back to school in shoes that will damage them, as new research from Start-Rite Shoes has found 61 per cent of parents buy school shoes “too big”. The research also found that 48 per cent of parents don’t check that school shoes fit properly and four in 10 (40 per cent) school children have complained their shoes hurt them.
