Surrey Charity Celebrates an Early Christmas

It’s important to recognise and help tackle issues early on and charities such as this are making a significant difference.

The Lucy Rayner Foundation has just received £1,275 in donations from Stocksigns Group, based in Redhill. Stocksigns Group raised the funds through a series of exciting events from July to September. The donations raised will help raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of depression in young adults.

The team at Stocksigns Group have been taking part in various activities to raise money for the Lucy Rayner Foundation. Stocksigns Group raised donations by entering the 2016 Reigate Run, hosting an Olympic Quiz and running an office bake sale with delicious cakes.

The Lucy Rayner Foundation was set up by former Stocksigns employee Jenny Rayner after her daughter Lucy tragically took her own life at the age of 22. The foundation helps raise awareness for indications of depression in young adults through education and campaigning. Based in Woodhatch, the charity also works alongside other charities with the same objectives to change how mental health is perceived by society. The charity works closely with mental health charity MIND and the YMCA.

Stocksigns Group Managing Director Danny Adamson said, “The Lucy Rayner Foundation has a special place in our hearts. It’s important to recognise and help tackle issues early on and charities such as this are making a significant difference. It’s been great to see the team here work so hard to raise money for a great cause. Our donations will help The Lucy Rayner Foundation continue the fantastic work they already do.”

Stocksigns Group are no strangers to raising money for good causes. This month the team is raising money for Royal Society for the Preventions of Accidents (RoSPA) by cycling the distance from their head office to Lapland on an exercise bike.
