Redhill Business Tackles Three Peaks Challenge

Stocksigns Team on Reigate Hill

We are putting ourselves through this mighty challenge to help parents give little ones the best possible start at life.

A Redhill-based signage company will be taking on the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge on Friday June 23 to raise money for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Brighter Beginnings Appeal. In the space of 24 hours, the team will climb Ben Nevis (1,345m, Scotland), Scafell Pike (978m, England) and Mount Snowdon (1,085m, Wales).

Stocksigns Group, which is made up of Stocksigns, Messagemaker and First Call Signs, has provided signage to British businesses for over 60 years. Their dedicated team of experts help companies understand the signage they need and how to ensure they are compliant with the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).

The team will consist of members from the Stocksigns Group team and Tom Harris from Gatwick Airport. To celebrate 100 years of reducing risk, RoSPA has focussed on improving the safety of children to avoid accidents. Accidents remain the biggest killer of children and young people under the age of 19.

Donations raised by Stocksigns will help continue running initiatives such as a free ‘Life Line’ phone service and a parent hub, as well as informative packs that give parents advice and support in protecting their children from accidental harm.

The Three Peaks Challenge begins on Friday June 23 at 4:00 PM at Ben Nevis. After hiking to the 4,411.18 ft summit, the team will descend back down and drive to the Peak District to begin their ascent of Scafell Pike. From Scafell Pike the team will travel to Snowdon and make their way to the summit with an estimated finish time of 3:00 PM on Saturday June 24.

Stocksigns Group Managing Director Danny Adamson said, “We are putting ourselves through this mighty challenge to help parents give little ones the best possible start at life. Health and safety is at the heart of what we do and being able to support RoSPA in keeping children safe is a cause we are proud to support.

“The team has worked incredibly hard and they have been dedicated to the training. Conquering this technical and enduring challenge is equal parts exciting and daunting, however we are confident we can complete this in the narrow time frame of 24 hours.

“We would love to thank everyone for the support they have shown so far, and our incredible sponsors including Famous Publicity, Centaur Roofing, Windmill Tapes, Metamark and NEPlastics.”

Stocksigns are aiming to raise £4000 for the cause and have set up two ways in which to donate. The first option is by the Just Giving page and the second is by text. To donate by text please text STOG60 to 70070. You can also follow the team’s training and progress by visiting their twitter page @Stocksigns.
