Stocksigns Group Embarking on a Dingle Dash in the Name of Charity

Stocksigns Group and team

Raising money for charitable causes has been a great tradition for many to give back to their community. Not many businesses have a portfolio of tackling the ‘3 Peaks Challenge’, consisting of Scafell Pike, Snowdon and Ben Nevis, as well as North Africa’s largest mountain range, Mount Toubkal. Surrey-based signage specialists Stocksigns Group is set to complete their next challenge in the name of charity; The Dingle Dash fundraising hike across Dingle, Ireland.

The hike will cover a total distance of 70km at an elevation of 9,000 feet, the equivalent of three mountains. The Dingle Dash will involve coastal mountains, rock scrambling, numerous hills and some inevitable showers to test the team’s endurance. To accomplish this quest, which is scheduled to take place from the 7th – 9th June 2019, Stocksigns Group has assembled a team of 18 experienced hikers from Stocksigns, Messagemaker Displays, Gatwick Airport and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

The assembled team have begun training for the task ahead, which started in January trekking through the snow up Reigate Hill, which has continued every Wednesday along with monthly group weekend hikes. The team then took to Devil’s Dyke for an additional training session, which is a 100m deep v-shaped valley on the South Downs Way located in West Sussex. Training together across various conditions has allowed the team to prepare for whatever Dingle throws at them in June.

Danny Adamson, Managing Director of the Stocksigns Group said, “Participating in our latest challenge in the name of charity is a real motivator for those in our business. We strive to set an example within our work to uphold the paramount importance of health and safety with our range of signage, as well as supporting local and national charities with the fantastic work that they do. The team are ready to take on the Dingle Dash challenge in June and we are sure to conquer this. Having the invaluable support from Gatwick Airport and RoSPA is a fantastic help in our journey to raise money for brilliant charitable causes.”

Stocksigns Group has set a target of raising £5,000 for the Dingle Dash, with the generated funds being split evenly between RoSPA and St Catherine’s Hospice charities. The Surrey-based company has already received support from suppliers and partners such as Surrey-based PR Agency Famous Publicity, UK-Based Heron Contractors, metals and plastics stockholders/distributors Righton Blackburns and IT support and business telecoms company Arcom ICT.
