Journalists and the eminent team of consultants at Twenty-five Harley Street celebrated the clinic’s launch and its pioneering new approach to patient care at a champagne reception on Wednesday 15th of March

Dr Stephanie Kaye-Barrett, Medical Director of the clinic greeted journalists along with the clinic founder, Miss Anna Tigipko, and General Manager Bob Davidson.

In a presentation, Miss Stephanie Kaye-Barrett laid out her vision for Twenty-five Harley Street Day Clinic, and what sets it apart from other private clinics in London’s renowned medical district.

She said: “Twenty-five Harley Street Day Clinic is different. We're not simply a collection of consultants, we are a day clinic that practises integrated medicine.

“We work together, collaboratively for the good of the patient. Although we’re all specialists in our fields, we recognise that illness cannot be treated in isolation.”

General Manager Bob Davidson also spoke about the unique nature of the clinic: “We offer superb care for every step of the patient’s experience. At primary care, we have a GP service available seven days a week.

“Our state-of-the-art pathology lab can supply results speedily and patients can have the most up-to-date DEXA scan available, with no wait, plus expert analysis.”

He added: “For secondary care, our consultants are among the top doctors in the country, many have international reputations for excellence and knowledge.

“In terms of tertiary care, we offer super-specialisms such as expert consultants including the UK’s top specialist in bone scanning, Prof David Reid. We have nutritionists with expertise in sports nutrition, weight management and eating disorders. Our Emotional Wellbeing service has highly-experienced counsellors and psychotherapists to help.”

Journalists were informed about the state of the art facilities:

• The on-site diagnostics including a pathology lab
• An imaging suite combining the latest in x-ray technology with tomosynthesis and stitching
• A DEXA scanner with full ‘Advanced Body Composition’ capabilities for measurement of total fat in the trunk region, as well as a CoreScan option, to identify whether this fat is stored around vital internal organs
• Fully-equipped treatment rooms for day procedures, including removal of fibroids and ablations for endometriosis

Among the specialisms covered by the clinic are Gynaecology, Rheumatology. Dermatology, Aesthetics & Plastics, Psychiatry and Emotional Wellbeing.

Consultants from each discipline demonstrated the range and breadth of services of each discipline and speciality to the assembled press.

Latest innovations in bone scanning
Professor David Reid, Consultant Rheumatologist, Emeritus Professor of Rheumatology at the University of Aberdeen and Head of Densitometry at Twenty-five Harley Street, spoke about DEXA scanning and the latest innovations in bone health and body composition reading

The medical case for vaginal laser treatment
Miss Tania Adib, Consultant Gynaecologist at Queen’s Hospital and Head of Gynaecology at Twenty-five Harley Street, presented the clinic’s integrated approach to gynaecology and described the high-tech offerings from the clinic, which include MonaLisa Touch for menopause-related vaginal atrophy and dryness.

Office gynaecolgy
Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Mr Pandelis Athanasias who works within the NHS at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals explained the office gynaecology procedures at Twenty-five which allow women to receive treatment for endometriosis and fibroids without the need for a hospital stay.

Aesthetics at 25
Head of Aesthetics at Twenty-five and Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Chelsea and Westminster, Miss Effie Katsarma revealed her philosophy and the treatments offered at the clinic, which include PRP and Hyaluronic acid. Mr Ash Mosahebi Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Royal Free Hospital and Mr Maroon Mann unveiled the Cosmetic Foot Clinic, which will be resident at Twenty-five Harley Street

New detox clinic
Dr Dmitri Popelyuk explained the Emotional Wellbeing treatments and therapies available at the clinic, including the Detox programme available at soon-to-be-open sister clinic Serena House.
