TEAM ENERGY APPOINTS PRODUCT AND SERVICE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

This exciting new appointment provides a dedicated resource to represent the voice of our customers and to drive our product development.

Development Manager appointed to lead the delivery of TEAM’s product and services strategy and progress the evolution of Sigma Energy Management Software

Tom Anderton has been appointed to lead TEAM’s product and services strategy which includes creating and implementing products and services, evaluating target markets and securing long-term, profitable growth and revenue.

Tom will work with TEAM’s customers and internal stakeholders to set strategic context for all current and new products and services based on market research, product feedback and external, relevant market sectors. He will also develop segmentation differentiation strategies for our target markets across a range of sectors.

Graham Paul, Service Delivery Director at TEAM, explains:

“This exciting new appointment provides a dedicated resource to represent the voice of our customers and to drive our product development. In this new role, Tom’s aim will be to ensure that we make market driven decisions, co-create with Customers, and validate product enhancements.”

A Geography graduate from Edinburgh University, Tom’s interest in IT led him to EDW Technology in 2012 where he started in a business analyst role. Here he worked as part of the solution delivery team to elicit business requirements from our client base and translate them into solutions that could be delivered in the software application. In this role, Tom had exposure to the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) - from inception to implementation - and worked as the 'product owner' throughout being the main point of contact for the software enhancements.

Tom progressed into a project management role in 2015 with specific responsibility for the analysis and design phases. He introduced new processes to help deliver a structured methodology to capture the requirements of the customer and deliver relevant IT solutions to enhance customers business operations.

More recently, Tom has played an integral part in the post-acquisition merger of TEAM Energy and EDW Technology, ensuring business continuity, and working very closely with sales and marketing on the activities associated with the most recent Sigma software releases.

Tom Anderton, Product and Service Development Manager at TEAM, adds:

“I am very excited to start engaging with TEAM customers, ensuring that product enhancement initiatives continue to meet their energy management needs. Using my experience to help drive key initiatives such as the budgeting and project management capability extension, expanding the Sigma integration capability, developing the mobile meter read application and advancing the Sigma tenant billing solution.”

The implementation of this new role is a continuation of the product and service roadmap set out at the annual conference in 2017 and is a further endorsement of TEAM Energy’s commitment to business growth and investment to deliver the best energy management products and services.
