Blue Medora Announces Strong Year for EMEA Growth and Product Development

GRANDS RAPIDS, Mich. & LONDON, UK – Oct. 17, 2016 – Blue Medora, a leading innovator in enterprise cloud and data centre management, today announced growing momentum in the EMEA region. Driven by demand for its cloud system and application management solutions that provide deep IT operational analytics (ITOA), it attracted 50 percent more customers in the last 12 months. To support this growth the company is signing up new partners across the region.

Over the last few years the data tier within an organisation has been elevated, as more of the databases and instance objects used by applications are virtualised. Analysts are predicting the rise of performance management as an important requirement for the whole stack. The challenge is that IT teams are already tight on resources; monitoring and managing numerous parts of the stack can be difficult.

“Enterprises of all sizes need consistent performance from their applications to avoid impacting the business. However, it is not only poor performance that is a concern, but also ‘unpredictable’ performance and availability,” said Tony Lock, distinguished analyst at Freeform Dynamics. “Our research tells us that many IT managers report they have disjointed, complex and hard to manage networks. This at a time when their organisations have ever-greater expectations of IT service quality, where clearly application performance is the centre of attention. Understandably, a majority of organisations state improving their management capabilities across domains to be a focus.”

With that in mind Blue Medora has focused heavily over the last 12 months on building its True Visibility Suite, which is a family of infrastructure-aware technologies that reach into and beyond the data tier to extend the capabilities of various cloud systems management and application performance management tools (APM). This focus has resulted in a growth in the number of unique partners closing deals by 200 percent.

Expanded product offering and reach in the channel - True Visibility Suite and SelectStar

To build on this success, in August, Blue Medora announced the launch of its new True Visibility Suite packages for VMware vRealize® Operations™. The agreement enabled VMware to immediately include the True Visibility Suite in the list of products offered by VMware resellers, granting Blue Medora access to more than 75,000 resellers and strengthening its presence in the channel in the process. By bundling multiple management packs into various editions, aligned with the vRealize Operations editions, the Blue Medora suite offers a convenient way for customers to choose and deploy multiple management packs with streamlined licensing and simplified installation.

In September, Blue Medora launched its first SaaS-based solution for unified data-tier performance monitoring of IT environments, SelectStar. Created to help support data base administrators (DBAs), the platform combines database and infrastructure monitoring to optimise critical database performance and data analytics in virtualised or cloud environments. This allows for increased end-user satisfaction and quicker identification and solving of performance issues.

New industry-recognised channel programme

Blue Medora’s spectacular growth over the past year is also owed to great advancements in the company’s True Visibility partner programme, which was recently awarded a 5-star rating in CRN’s 2016 Partner Program Guide based on investments in programme offerings, partner profitability, training and support, marketing programmes and resources. The company was also listed as a 2016 Virtualization 50 by CRN. The Blue Medora partner program allows the channel to equip customers with off-the-shelf software tools for comprehensive IT visibility. The program offers a wealth of benefits, including an Assisted Sales Model providing additional sales and engineering to help maximise sales; a web portal; sales and engineering support; enablement tools, training and access to certified sales.
