In addition to sales support for environmentally friendly hybrid technology, Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is stepping up to new Mobility solutions. In partnership with Faxi, TFS is working to introduce technology to reduce single occupancy vehicles and the congestion and emissions that come with them.
Cities across Germany are looking for similar solutions and Toyota decided to pilot the application in Hamburg, to support the MOVE project the City of Hamburg launched 2017.
London-based Faxi is pioneering the concept, which it calls incentivised carpooling. Its app technology encourages long-term carpooling by verifying shared journeys so that meaningful incentives can be provided to commuters who travel in this way.
