Pitchit announces official launch of dating app
There is no over-reliance on profiles or ‘magic’ algorithms that predict your perfect match; the app is all about the dating experience.
• App is available on iOS and free to download
London, UK: Pitchit, a new dating service that focuses on getting users a date rather than just a swipe, announces immediate availability of its dating app.
Aimed at professional singles with a genuine desire to embrace the dating scene, Pitchit swaps tedious online conversations for perfect dates.
The app is free with no subscription fees. Currently available on iOS, Pitchit will be available on Android devices later this year.
Danni Menzies, host of Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun and Pitchit Co-founder says: “Pitchit’s focus on real-life dates is unique. There is no over-reliance on profiles or ‘magic’ algorithms that predict your perfect match; the app is all about the dating experience.”
Data released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has revealed that approximately 51 per cent of the UK population is single. The latest research indicates that users of current dating apps have two main criticisms:
• Getting ‘matches’ but not receiving messages
• A lack of serious daters looking for real-life meets
Pitchit solves these problems: daters will always have a common interest and users only talk once interest in the date has been established.
Chrissy Rigby, Pitchit Co-founder adds: “In recent years there has been too much focus on looks and not enough on the dating experience. Pitchit puts the equilibrium back into dating because what you are doing is just as important as who you do it with.”
How does Pitchit work?
Users pitch their perfect date and wait for the requests to come in. The person pitching then has the option to select up to three respondents to speak to, before making a final decision and agreeing to the date.
Pitchit also inspires great dates by sharing the best restaurants, gigs and events in the local area with users. Having created links with major ticketing companies including Bookatable and Love Theatre, as well as many of London’s coolest venues such as Junk Yard Golf, Hackney Showroom and Artisan Du Chocolat, Pitchit is the perfect place for people looking for memorable dating experiences.
