SUBMISSIONS OPEN FOR RECRUITMENT INDUSTRY DISABILITY AWARDS
New Categories for 2016
The Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative (RIDI) has confirmed the categories for its 2016 awards which are designed to celebrate progress and recognise the success of organisations that are making headway in increasing the inclusion of disabled people.
Submissions open today April 4th and RIDI’s message to all recruiters is that it is often the little things that can make the biggest difference and so encourages organisations to consider entering whatever their level of progress – even if they are only just getting started. There are ten categories in all which means there is something for everyone:
• Getting Started Award - a new award aimed at encouraging all recruitment agencies to get started on their journey to disability confidence
• Employers Choice Award – an opportunity for employers to nominate a recruitment agency or partner
• Agency Choice – recognising and promoting collaboration – employers inspiring their recruitment partners
• Individual Choice – Disabled jobseekers are invited to nominate an agency based on candidate experience
• Extending The Reach – Recognising excellence in inclusive candidate sourcing
• Reasonable Adjustments in Recruitment – Recognising innovation in the provision of reasonable adjustments
• Disability Confident – Recognising organisations that have supported the government’s disability confident campaign with tangible action
• Innovation in assessment – Recognising the impact of alternatives and adjustments to assessments
• Supply Chain Management - A new category open to both employers and agencies who set the standard and measure he success of their entire supply chain to actively recruit disabled talent
• Greatest Impact – To be voted on by the judging panel across all categories
Entries close on 19 September and are free to enter.
Commenting on the launch of the categories, Kate Headley, Chair of RIDI and key member of The Minister for Disabled People’s Disability Confident Task Force said: “No matter how small the change you have made – if it has contributed in some way to removing the barriers faced by disabled talent entering or progressing through the job market, we want to hear your story!”
