Excel recruits a new Product Manager
The product range from Excel Networking Solutions is set to continue evolving following the appointment of a new Technical Product Manager to the team. In May 2017, Neil Payne made the move to Excel Networking Solutions from FibreFab after 12 years service there. His experience in the copper and fibre cabling industry will be crucial to supporting Excel in developing their product range and maximising opportunities.
Neil started at the business on 10th May 2017, and will become the driving force behind the management and development of the complete lifecycle of the Excel product portfolio. He will be working closely with the business’ existing teams to source new and innovative products to complement the existing range. His role as Technical Product Manager for Excel Networking Solutions is responsible for expanding market share in the infrastructure market, covering both the UK and International markets.
Alongside identifying new product opportunities, Neil will be responsible for collaborating with the Sales, Purchasing and Technical teams to evaluate the products’ potential and conveying the new features, benefits, packaging and technical specifications to the teams and customers. This responsibility is key to ensuring all Excel teams and customers are up to speed with the new features of the product range, helping the Excel Group to continue to provide outstanding service to its customers.
Jason Rudge, Commercial Procurement Director for Excel Networking Solutions commented, “I am delighted to welcome Neil on board the team. I have confidence that with his background and experience within the industry, developing product ranges and liaising with teams on a technical level, that he will be able to support the evolution of the Excel brand.”
Jason continued, “I am very much looking forward to the positive and innovative impact that Neil’s appointment will make to the team and to the Excel Group.”
Neil is looking forward to taking on the challenge, and is currently enjoying getting to know the business and the teams during his structured two-week induction period, before getting fully stuck into his role.
