May 2018
National Smile Month is all about smiling more to reap the benefits smiling has on mental wellbeing, the immune system, and reducing stress. New research from teeth whitening brand White Glo reveals 74% agree being smiled at brightens their day, yet 77% of Brits aren’t happy with their smile.
With insecurities largely caused by stained or discoloured teeth, this can even effect happiness and relationship prospects, with 36% claiming they wouldn’t date someone with bad teeth.
The research also reveals how a fifth would be more outgoing if they had whiter teeth, which could lead to better careers, relationships, and positive life experiences, therefore it’s vital that people improve their teeth and begin to feel confident in their smile.
White Glo’s Dental expert Jordan Kirk explains:
“Smiling is such an important part of life, helping to boost our mood, increase attractiveness, and show how we feel. Having a bright smile you can be proud of is something everyone should be able to enjoy.”
However, there is a solution to this: activated charcoal is a natural stain remover that can whiten teeth faster than traditional toothpaste. The charcoal binds to stains, removing them, instead of just covering them up. Charcoal toothpaste like White Glo also attacks the bacteria which causes bad breath, providing a more aggressive clean that physically pulls the bacteria from the mouth, stopping it from growing, helping you smile more this National Smile Month.
