RENOWNED SOUND HEALER CELEBRATES BECOMING A BESTSELLING AUTHOR AFTER EMPOWERING OTHERS THIS WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY
An esteemed sound healer and grief ceremonialist from Manchester is celebrating becoming a bestselling author leading up to World Mental Health Day (10 October) after being asked to contribute as an expert to the guidebook on health, happiness and wellbeing.
Within hours of its release, it has become a bestseller this week on the Amazon book charts in Psychology & Suicide, Psychology & Mental Health, Mental Illness and Mental Health landing at number one on the charts.
‘The Warrior Wellbeing Toolkit’ is an incredible collaborative guidebook for men and women to help the reader not feel alone when it comes to their mental health and wellbeing featuring 16 inspirational insights. This toolkit helps them take their health, happiness, and wellbeing back into their own hands.
The author, Ashleigh Guthrie, age 31, has previously worked with former Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley and notes she was particularly driven to write this book by recent events.
As Ashleigh notes, “After the unexpected death of my mum in 2016, I started to share my experiences online and via public speaking about her journey of grief, post-traumatic stress and anxiety. This led to me working with healing arts such as Tibetan singing bowls and meditation.
“It is my deepest heart’s desire to inspire hope in others and bring death out of its taboo box. Sound therapy has been such an important part of my grief recovery, it felt important to share some of my experiences and use the power of language to take people on a guided journey inwards through written word. Death and grief are something that affects us all and if there’s one thing I wish for people to know it’s that they’re not alone.”
Former Coronation Street, and new Strictly Come Dancing star Catherine Tyldesley has worked with Ashleigh before and notes she isn’t surprised by Ashleigh’s recent success.
“I’m so proud of Ashleigh. I can honestly say I’ve never found anyone as good as her at massage - and I’ve had massages all over the world. She’s so intuitive as a therapist.
“Meditation has been a vital part of my self-care and wellbeing toolkit during my time on strictly. I love the sounds and vibrations from the singing bowls! I find the experience so relaxing, Ashleigh’s sound healing meditations allow my mind to completely switch off and my entire body relaxes.
“I’m super excited for Ashleigh, her journey is quite extraordinary. For her to now share this with the world will be life-changing for those who read this book.“
The book has been published by the award-winning team at Authors & Co, who work to showcase and celebrate empowering stories of women.
Founder Abigail Horne said: “At Authors & Co we work with entrepreneurs who want to make an impact through leaving their legacy and the audience we serve are those with inquiring minds, keen to drink in information, and learn from others’ experiences. Our authors always lead their readers to reflect on their own lives and if aligned, make use of the teachings to move forward themselves.”
While Ashleigh is based in Manchester, she holds Immersive Sound Healing experiences and meditation classes at Øne Aesthetic Studio in Alderley Edge and in London.
To celebrate the launch of this book, Ashleigh has created a Wellbeing Warrior Playlist you can find on her website here.
