Post Office Win for Ashfords LLP

Following a competitive tender process, law firm, Ashfords LLP, has been successfully appointed as one of the legal advisers of the Post Office for legal work across all of Post Office’s practice areas and across all UK jurisdictions.

Ashfords has taken up the advisor role effective from 1st April 2019 and the contract will initially run for 4 years with an option to extend the panel for a further 12 months. They will advise on a range of legal areas including information technology, data protection, public procurement, dispute resolution and intellectual property protection.

Post Office are the UK's largest retail network and the largest financial services chain in the UK with more branches than all of the UK’s banks and building societies put together. They also have over 370 years of service; more than 170 products and services; over 11,500 Post Office branches nationwide run by local people and over 17 million customer visits and 47 million transactions per week.

With a stable network, investment, modernisation and a drive to improve convenience and service for the customer, Post Office is moving forward. They are now a growth business building on their core asset of a nationwide network of branches, run by local, trusted people, together with enhancing their online and direct channels.

The tender process was led by Partner, Ruth Murray and Senior Associate, Suzie Miles, on behalf of Ashfords.
