Ashfords LLP appoints first Trainee Solicitor in Plymouth office
Law firm Ashfords is delighted to announce the appointment of Lizzie Schulz as a Trainee Solicitor in the firm’s Plymouth office – Ashfords’ first ever dedicated Plymouth based training contract. Lizzie joins the firm on 7 May 2019.
The smaller scale office environment in Plymouth will provide a unique opportunity for Lizzie to work with several departments during her two years of training at Ashfords from Property and Commercial Litigation to Company Commercial and Real Estate. Whilst based in Plymouth, Lizzie will also be a key member of the overall Trainee cohort joining in September 2019 and will have many development opportunities during her time with Ashfords.
The firm's comprehensive training contracts allow applicants a chance to work alongside Partners and Lawyers who are recognised as leaders in their field at Ashfords which, for the third year running, has been voted by students and graduates as a Guardian UK 300 employer.
Furthermore, Ashfords is proud that 16% of their current Partners completed their training contracts with the firm. Ashfords is committed to a ‘recruit to retain’ policy and consistently strives to achieve high retention rates.
James Heath, Partner in the Real Estate Team and Head of Plymouth at Ashfords, commented: "We pride ourselves on nurturing and investing in strong talent, and we are thrilled to welcome Lizzie to the Plymouth office as we continue our strategic growth plan with a focus on attracting talent in key sectors."
Lizzie said: “Ashfords has a fantastic reputation and embarking on my legal career with such a highly regarded firm is an exciting prospect.
I am looking forward to learning from the team in Plymouth and working with them help build on their achievements.
I love living and working in the South West, so I’m particularly excited about developing strong connections with local clients and assisting in the growth of Ashfords’ presence in the Region.”
