Rubik’s Brand Ltd, the London-based company that owns the rights to the Rubik's Cube - the world’s most popular single toy – has broken the Guinness World Record for the most individual contributors to a Rubik’s Cube Mosaic. This was completed as part of a Rubik’s Cube pop-up immersive experience which took place this week.
The previous record of 293 participants was broken on October 2 with an astonishing 308 individual contributors. In order for the Guinness World Records attempt to be beaten, a team of talented speedcubers, including UK world champion George Scholey and London-based magician, Taran Harvey-Chadwick, were at hand to teach participants how to solve Rubik’s Cubes.
The completed mosaic is made with 1,575 Rubik’s Cubes and measures 2.56 metres wide x 2.05 metres high. The design for the mosaic, created by talented Norwegian cube artist, @cubearting, was...
