Your pet’s fur could have a place in your jewellery box this Christmas. Brighton brand Fur & Forever sets a small lock of fur into silver rings and heart pendants, creating gifts with a connection to the animal their owner loves.

Its Christmas gift selection with The Brighton Beekeeper brings together five ideas, from GBP 9.99 stocking fillers to personalised jewellery. Both brands are run by Brighton maker and beekeeper Jack Lockyer, who runs Fur & Forever with his wife Mel.

The beekeeping connection goes beyond the name. The Brighton Beekeeper uses cappings beeswax, the fresh wax seals bees build over their stored honey, in its body butter and lip balm. Collected during the honey harvest, the wax is blended with plant oils and butters to make skincare by hand in Brighton. There is something for four-legged family members too: Nose & Toes, a nose and paw balm created by the two brands together.


STERLING SILVER PET HAIR RING

A small lock of a pet’s fur is arranged in resin within a sterling silver band, then finished by hand in Brighton. Each ring reflects the colour and character of the fur supplied. Fresh lime and sweet orange meet a delicate jasmine note in this rich body butter, made in small batches in Brighton. Shea and cocoa butters are blended with plant oils and beeswax for a concentrated moisturising treatment. A small amount warms between the palms before being massaged into the skin.

GIFT CARDS LET THEM CHOOSE

Both brands offer gift cards. For personalised jewellery, this lets the recipient choose their design and arrange to send their pet’s fur after receiving the gift. ORDERING PERSONALISED JEWELLERY

UK customers receive instructions, protective packaging and prepaid tracked return postage to send their fur securely. Current production time for the featured silver jewellery is 7–10 days after the fur arrives at the workshop, plus delivery. Customers should also allow time to receive and return their pack. Any unused fur is returned with the finished piece.
