Leading sports retailer Sportsdirect.com have investigated which players would start at Euro 2016, using the online sales data of the new Euro 2016 England shirt. The results are quite surprising.

Jamie Vardy was the most popular player England player with 47% of purchased shirts featuring the Leicester City strikers name on the back.

Surprisingly, Dele Alli is the second most popular player with over 13% of the total sales and pushing Wayne Rooney into third place.

Overall strikers dominated sales, with over 70% of the shirts sold featuring Kane, Vardy, Sturridge or Rooney.
