Fibaro FLOOD SENSOR 2

SUMMARY
- the first of its kind Flood Sensor in Apple Store
– a discreet sensor that will inform its user of any potential flooding inside their home.
- the device can work independently, emitting an alarm once it detects water, or as a part of Apple HomeKit; notifying its user via their smartphone.

FIBARO – a Polish company offering smart home solutions – will be offering its products via Apple Stores as of October 13th. The first FIBARO device available for purchase will be the Flood Sensor – an intelligent, wireless device that’s compatible with the HomeKit platform. It informs its users about any potential flooding at their home. The Apple Store will soon offer additional FIBARO products across 19 countries.

As of October 13th, FIBARO's offer will be available via the official Apple Store at https://www.apple.com/uk/. Initially, the company's products will be available in 19 countries: Great Britain, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Portugal, Norway, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg and Hungary.

The first FIBARO device to be added to Apple’s HomeKit will be the FIBARO Flood Sensor – a discreet sensor that will inform its user of any potential flooding inside their home. The device can work independently, emitting an alarm once it detects water, or as a part of Apple HomeKit; notifying its user via their smartphone. This way, the sensor that is connected with solenoid valve can easily save our house from flooding, when for instance the user is on holidays. The Flood Sensor is also equipped with telescopic stands that ensure constant touch with the surface and a thermometer.

The FIBARO Flood Sensor is the first flood detector to be included in Apple’s HomeKit package. It is priced at 64,95 GBP (69,99 EUR).

HomeKit solutions provide Apple users with a fast, safe and effortless way of managing their homes. Setting up the devices is very simple and can be done using the built-in Apple HOME app or via a dedicated FIBARO app. Moreover, using an Apple TV (with tvOS 10 or a later version) or an iPad (with iOS 10 or a later version) that’s been left at home, users can check what’s happening inside their homes – wherever they may be. Apple HomeKit is also fully supported and integrated with Apple’s intelligent personal assistant Siri.

FIBARO is a manufacturer of smart home solutions. Since last year, the company offers products that are fully compatible with the Apple HomeKit platform. These include: Flood Sensor, Motion Sensor, Door/Window Sensor, CO Sensor and the Single Switch. At this year’s IFA trade show in Berlin, FIBARO announced that it would soon be adding two new devices to its product offer: the Wall Plug (a smart electrical socket) and The Button (a sequence switch).
