The 1st Annual Conference of the UK Health Coaches Association is taking place at the Lensbury Hotel, Teddington on Tuesday September 25th, 2018 and will be an opportunity for the public and private healthcare sectors to come together and explore new and effective ways to reverse the trend towards chronic, lifestyle-related diseases such as Type 2 Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease.

If nothing changes, by 2025 there will be 5 million people in the UK with Type 2 Diabetes. As it is, 25% of UK Adults are obese and Type 2 Diabetes has risen by 65% in the last 10 years. The combined cost of diabetes and obesity to the UK is GBP16 Billion a year. Cardiovascular and circulatory diseases cause 25% of all deaths in the UK and cost the country GBP19 Billion a year.

But there is an alternative to this scenario. In collaboration with other Healthcare providers, Health Coaching provides an affordable, effective and accessible solution. By giving individuals the time, information, support and mentoring, that make it so much easier for them to identify and sustain the choices necessary to prevent and reverse chronic, lifestyle-related disease, Health Coaching can change the future by changing how we think about health.

Dr Rangan Chatterjee joins a number of distinguished speakers who, together with the Board of Directors and Members of the UK Health Coaches Association, will be discussing ways we can work together to reverse the trends and make good health easily accessible to everyone in the UK.

Tickets are available on Eventbrite.
