Super fine metal surface finishing experts to the aerospace, autosports and precision engineering industries, Finishing Techniques, are using Mach 2016 to launch their new web site and Fintek branding. Recent customer research has shown that the Fintek brand has become synonymous with high levels of customer service, metal part finishing problem solving and quality.

Manging director and founder, Jonathan Dean, explains, “For more than 35 years we have been solving metal finishing problems for precision engineers, manufacturers and jewellery makers. The Fintek brand has been predominately used within the subcontract services’ business and Finishing Techniques for machine sales. As part of our growth strategy we conducted customer research and they said they liked the Fintek brand, so going forward we will promote sub-contract services and machine sales under this one brand.”

The company has been the UK official agent for Otec Präzisionsfinish GmbH since 1997. Since that time Otec machine technology has transformed areas previously dominated by traditional vibratory and manual finishing processes. Fintek offer Otec equipment along with a full service to help manufacturers find the right combination of machine, media and process time to achieve the required surface finish for their part. This is backed by ongoing consultancy, preventative maintenance and if needed the full worldwide expertise of Otec.

The Fintek stand 5971 at Mach will focus on both machine sales and the company’s extensive sub-contract capability. Jonathan added, “Capital investment in equipment may not be the best option for some companies and with our in-house capability we can solve their surface finishing problems – prove the process and quality – for anything from single parts to mass-production finishing and everything in between.”
