Simplified Money is the new financial advice firm dedicated to those who have been left without access to financial advice.

At Simplified Money, we believe that everyone should have access to financial advice, regardless of their background or the size of their investment. The very wealthy have always found it easy to access such help; now Simplified Money is set to bring that expertise within the reach of everyone else.

Using the combination of a secure online portal, friendly advisers, a customer support team on the end of a phone and a wealth of practical, personal finance experience, Simplified Money will offer tailored recommendations for those who are either unwilling or unable to pay the price of traditional, face-to-face advice.

However, where others may leave you in the hands of robo-advisers and algorithms, Simplified Money offers a more human approach:

• Our advice is provided by people and supported by technology, not the other way around
• Clients don't have to talk to us - but we are here at the end of a phone if they decide they'd like to
• Our private ownership ensures we can remain impartial; there is no parent or sister company to which we must direct clients’ money
• We are 'restricted', but our panel of providers is reviewed on a regular basis to ensure our solutions keep pace with developments

About Simplified Money
Simplified Money was first conceived in late 2014 by Lesley James and Mark James who wanted to provide personal, transparent, affordable financial advice for people who were finding it hard to get support anywhere else.
Lesley has spent over 25 years working in a financial services industry that has evolved significantly during that time. Advisers now are more professional, more qualified and more accountable than at any time since regulation began to get serious back in 1986.

However, increasing regulation has meant both increased costs and an end to the payment of commission on investment and pension products. Where banks once helped advise millions of people on their savings and investments, those services are now both much harder to police and more expensive to run. The majority have been, if not actually closed then certainly significantly cut back. The result is a very large segment of people who are now either unwilling or unable to access financial advice at a price they consider reasonable.

At Simplified Money, we believe that everyone who wants financial advice should be able to get it. The combination of Lesley’s practical experience and Mark’s consultancy and operational skills have therefore been used to develop an efficient, low cost and accessible process which provides the wider market with the same high quality, expert advice that high net worth individuals receive - but at a much more affordable price.

All of our advice services come at a fixed price, agreed and payable up front so clients know exactly what they are getting – and what we recommend makes no difference to what we get paid.

• At retirement advice: £299 single person, £399 for a couple
• Wealth advice: £299 single person; £399 per couple
• Portfolio reviews: £249 single person; £349 per couple
• Risk assessments: £199 single person; £299 per couple
• Concierge service upgrade: £120 per report requested (note: not per person)
