HEC Paris to present the prize for the HEC African Women Leaders Award for Corporate Social Innovation

HEC Paris will attribute the HEC African Women Leaders Award for Corporate Social Innovation at the Women’s Forum that will take place in Mauritius on 20 and 21 June. This prize will honor an African woman leader for her social commitment.

The prize will be awarded by her Excellency Mrs. Ameenah Gurib Fakim, President of the Republic, Mrs. Jacqueline Franjou, Director of the Women Forum, Mrs. Inge Kerkloh-Devif, Executive Director Global Business Development at HEC Executive Education and Professor Bertrand Moingeon, Executive Director of the HEC Indian Ocean Office.

Professor Moingeon will also be a speaker on “Strategies for nurturing frugal GREEN innovation”. He will discuss how to best promote the development of products that are affordable for the bottom of the pyramid, while being ecosystem-responsible from the supply chain to end use.

HEC Paris is committed to contributing to the understanding of the contemporary challenges that organizations face and how they mold society. Within its Society and Organizations (SnO) inter-disciplinary center at HEC Paris, Professor Moingeon along with the other SnO members research and teach issues that are key to our understanding of these phenomena and prepare future generations of managers to lead in these complex environments.

Professor Bertrand Moingeon, specialist in strategic management was a visiting professor at Harvard and a member of the executive committee at HEC Paris for 17 years (he was Associate Dean of Executive Education and then Deputy Dean). Professor Moingeon heads up the Indian Ocean Office that has the mission to represent the institution in the region, promote HEC programs and to contribute to the production of knowledge on companies in the Indian Ocean and contributing to making Mauritius a regional Knowledge Hub.
