FranceInLondon.com is proud to announce the 12th edition of London’s Favourite French Film, a celebration of the unique contributions of French cinema to London’s cultural scene. An online vote, which opened on 1 June 2016 and remains open until 12 September 2016, will culminate on 22 September with a VIP award night and the UK première of Mohamed Hamidi’s One Man and His Cow (La Vache), to be held at Picturehouse Central in Piccadilly.

Everyone is invited to vote online for the French films they have liked best this year until 12 September. In doing so, they get a chance to win amazing prizes, such as a 7-night all-inclusive holiday for 2 at one of Club Med’s sun resorts, a weekend stay in Bordeaux offered by the Luxury Travel Book, an Evidens de Beauté Extreme Cream, a 3-course-meal for 2 with a glass of Champagne at The Balcon and pairs of VIP tickets to London’s Favourite French Film 2016 award night and film première.
Award winners in previous years include 'Timbuktu', 'Blue is the Warmest Colour (La vie d’Adèle)' and 'The Intouchables (Intouchables)'. There are 33 films in the running this year, including 'Mustang', 'Dheepan', 'Marguerite' and 'The Bélier Family (La famille Bélier)'. See full list here: http://bit.ly/2alJckw

On 22 September 2016, film distributors and directors will be present to collect their awards. The award ceremony will be followed by the exclusive UK première of Mohamed Hamidi’s 'One Man and His Cow (La Vache)', starring Fatsah Bouyahmed, Lambert Wilson and Jamel Debbouze.
The event is preceded by a champagne reception and will be followed by drinks and canapés.
Tickets can be bought at the Picturehouse Central and on www.picturehouses.com.

'One Man and His Cow (La Vache)', by Mohamed Hamidi
Fatah (Fatsah Bouyahmed), has never left his village in Algeria. But when he finally receives an invitation to the Agricultural Show in Paris, he decides to embark on the ferry with his beloved cow Jacqueline, before starting a trek through today’s France. An unexpected and moving journey awaits him.

Started in 1998, FranceInLondon.com is the number 1 one-stop website for everything French in London. This fully bilingual webmagazine is dedicated to promoting French culture, companies, brands, fashion and lifestyle in and around London. Its content includes articles, events, ads, a directory and free prize draws, among others.

London’s Favourite French Film was launched in June 2004 in order to showcase the richness of French cinema. Instantly successful, the event has run every year since and in 2014, Christian Clavier took part in its 10th anniversary celebrations. Every year, this event begins after the Cannes film festival with an online vote and ends in September with a gala award night. Every year, thousands of people vote for their favourite French films.

For a few years now, the awards night has been the occasion to raise funds for a charity. This year, we will be raising funds for Cancer Research UK, which “pioneers research to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured”.
