we're making their lives a little easier by integrating with the systems that small businesses actually use

The Payroll Site has connected its cloud payroll system with FreeAgent cloud accounting to give FreeAgent's 50,000+ small business customers a fully featured payroll option that links with their accounts.

The Payroll Site already offers an integrated payroll option for the hundreds of thousands of small, British businesses that use Xero, QuickBooks or KashFlow. From today, this option is also available to businesses using FreeAgent.

The FreeAgent accounts system has some basic payroll functions built in, without the ability to calculate pension contributions or process weekly pay. FreeAgent customers who need these features can now run their payroll on The Payroll Site and send the figures straight to their FreeAgent accounts. As a specialised cloud payroll system, The Payroll Site offers a range of features not provided by FreeAgent, such as email payslips and links to pension providers.

More and more small businesses are moving their accounting to the cloud. In the past year, QuickBooks Online surpassed 100,000 UK subscribers and Xero passed 200,000.

The Payroll Site Managing Director Steven Tucker said: "Many of our customers use cloud accounting systems and we're making their lives a little easier by integrating with the systems that small businesses actually use."

The Payroll Site is an independent, cloud payroll company serving small businesses throughout the UK. Subscriptions start at £5.75 per month, excluding VAT.

The Payroll Site topped the AccountingWEB Software Satisfaction Survey for the survey's last three years, which were 2011, 2012 and 2013.
