Gordon Wilson, CEO of the UK’s third largest provider of business software and services, Advanced, has been shortlisted in the prestigious Tech Leaders Awards in the category of ‘Business Leader of the Year’.
As the UK’s leading celebration of business, IT and digital leaders, the Tech Leaders Awards honour those at the forefront of disruption and innovation and who play a central role in driving business value in large organisations through the application of technology.
Led by Gordon Wilson, Advanced has undertaken what is arguably the largest transformation of any UK company, helping the £220m turnover business leap from 135th position in the Sunday Times Top Track 250 to 97th place.
Since joining the company nearly two years ago, Wilson has exemplified industry excellence, driving the creation of a new, consolidated leadership team, investing in the development of a dynamic and driven workforce as well as revolutionising Advanced’s structure to reinvent every aspect of the business. All of which has contributed to him being recognised by this flagship awards programme, as an illustration of the powerful contributions he’s made to technology and innovation.
