Paralympian Sophia Warner to host RIDI Awards

The Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative (RIDI) is delighted to announce that British Paralympian, Sophia Warner, has been unveiled as the host of this year’s Recruitment Industry Disability Initiative (RIDI) Awards.

The news comes following a new partnership between RIDI and the UK’s only disability sports series for the ‘Everyday Superhero’, the Superhero Series, which Sophia founded.

RIDI is a not for profit organisation which works to remove the barriers that disabled people face in employment. It is joining the Superhero Series, which is powered by npower, as a Corporate Friend to support the organisation through its 2018 programme. Events will include the Superhero Tri on the 18th of August and Winter Wonderwheels on the 2nd December.

On hosting the awards, Sophia - who represented Paralympics GB at London 2012 in the 100m and 200m sprint events - said:

“RIDI and the Superhero Series have shared values and it’s an honour to be working together in this way. I am delighted to be hosting this year’s awards and I’d urge all companies which have an inspiring story to tell around disability inclusion in the workplace to put forward a submission and share their story. I look forward to celebrating with shortlisted organisations on the night.”
