British-based Cloudhouse Named Third Most Commonly Used Solution Behind Microsoft App-V And VMware ThinApp

London, UK. – June 1, 2018 – Cloudhouse, a leading provider of Compatibility Container technology, has been named amongst the most popular application virtualization solutions in the independent research organization VDI Like a PRO’s State of End User Computing Survey 2018 Report. Cloudhouse, the only UK technology company to be recognised in the application virtualization category, works with organisations to migrate applications between operating systems without the need for expensive rewrites, commonly blocking many applications moving away from legacy platforms.

The fifth worldwide ‘End User Computing – State of the Union’ survey spoke to 755 members of the End User Computing community and found that overall there was an increase of participants using application virtualization. This is the first time Cloudhouse has featured in the survey, voted the third most popular solution, and the rise in the number of end users utilising its technology is reflected by the increase in those moving to the cloud and adopting more modern operating systems.

“We are delighted that Cloudhouse has been recognised in the End User Computing Survey 2018,” said Mat Clothier, CTO, CEO & Founder at Cloudhouse. “Over the past year we have seen a great number of organizations approaching us for help to move to Windows 10 as well the cloud. The majority of organizations want to take their applications with them, however, this isn’t a straightforward transition. To be able to migrate and avoid complex and costly re-writes, Cloudhouse is working with enterprises and Microsoft to allow apps to be transported to more modern platforms, such as Windows 10. This will provide increased security and usability and because of this we expect our market share to increase in the future.”

About Cloudhouse

Cloudhouse Containers free enterprises from running unsupported Windows and Citrix platforms by making otherwise incompatible applications run on the newest platforms – whether they run on premise or in the cloud. Apps only need to be packaged once in stateless containers that handle application runtime, isolation, and full redirection. As a result, enterprises can complete Windows 10 or Citrix Cloud migration projects successfully. Cloudhouse is based in London.
