Thinking about moving to London or relocating within the capital? In a city this big, it can be difficult to choose the best location for you, especially when there are so many deciding factors. Helpfully, Attic Self Storage has launched an interactive guide to London’s best boroughs, created using official data alongside unique survey results in order to rank boroughs according to seven key factors: happiness, affordability, crime rate, quietness, ‘outstanding’ schools, green space and cool factor. Users can filter by their most important requirements in order to determine which London borough is right for them.

If safety is crucial to you, then consider moving slightly further from the centre to Bexley, Kingston upon Thames or Sutton - the three London boroughs with the lowest crime rate. If happiness is the most important factor, try Kensington and Chelsea, Kingston upon Thames or Bromley, which rank highest on the happiness index. At the other end of the scale, Islington has been ranked the unhappiest borough, followed by up-and-coming Hackney.

If cool factor is your kryptonite, then an impressive 41% of survey respondents say Southwark and the City of London is the coolest area in the city, home to hip-and-happening Peckham as well as Bermondsey and Dulwich. Camden has been voted the second coolest borough, followed by Kensington and Chelsea.
