Hadean is proud to announce a new partnership with the Francis Crick Institute, as the research centre tackles ground-breaking research in the study of cancer cells.

The working partnership will see Hadean lend its spatial simulation framework, Aether Engine, running on its massively distributed, cloud-first operating system, and its expertise to the Francis Crick Institute. The project is partially funded by Innovate UK.

Working closely with Dr Paul Bates and his team, animated three-dimensional models will be constructed of cancer cells undergoing metastasis. Modelling and understanding the forces placed upon such cells will facilitate further investigations on how best to reduce cancer cell migration.

Based in London, the Francis Crick Institute is dedicated to understanding the fundamental biology underlying health and disease, and currently stands as the biggest biomedical research facility under a single roof in Europe.

Craig Beddis, Hadean CEO, said: “The opportunity to work closely with the Francis Crick Institute is really exciting for us. We’re looking forward to seeing how Aether Engine can advance biomedical research and knowledge further than technology has previously allowed.”

About Francis Crick Institute
The Francis Crick Institute is dedicated to understanding the fundamental biology underlying health and disease. The Institute’s work is helping to understand why disease develops and to translate discoveries into new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, stroke, infections and neurodegenerative diseases.

An independent organisation, the Crick’s founding partners are the Medical Research Council (MRC), Cancer Research UK, Wellcome, UCL, Imperial College London and King's College London.

The Crick was formed in 2015, and in 2016 we moved into a brand new state-of-the-art building in central London which brings together 1500 scientists and support staff working collaboratively across disciplines, making it the biggest biomedical research facility under a single roof in Europe. https://www.crick.ac.uk/
