The Most Affordable Spa Regions Europe

(LONDON, UK, 02.04.2019)

New research by HotSpring World has highlighted the most affordable spa regions in Europe to visit for a relaxing wellness retreat.

- Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, is the most affordable spa region to visit for a wellness break, costing 76.32 GBP for a massage, meal and accommodation.
- Budapest, Hungary, follows in second place and Granada, Spain, places third.
- On the other end of the scale, Bath, UK, is the most expensive spa region in Europe and offers the most expensive massage.
- The most expensive region to spend the night is Wiesbaden, Germany, even though the area offers the second cheapest price for a massage.

Rankings

The top searched for spa regions were analysed to see which areas are the most and least affordable for a quick wellness retreat away. After averaging the cost of the three necessities for a budget wellness retreat - an inexpensive meal on Numbeo, the average cost of a massage from the top three spas of that region on TripAdvisor and the average cost of a one night stay in a 3* star hotel in the area from the same website - it is Karlovy Vary, Budapest and Granada that are the most affordable regions for a quick break to relax and unwind.

In fact, it would cost more than double the price of a wellness retreat in Karlovy Vary (76.32 GBP), Czech Republic, to have a massage, meal and one night stay in Tuscany (155.73 GBP), Italy, and Bath (186.08 GBP), UK.

1 - Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic - 76.32 GBP

Lynda Smart from HotSpring World says, “It’s easy to get caught up in life’s everyday stresses but we want to remind people of the importance of taking time to relax. We want to show how easy it can be to take some time out to focus on de-stressing. It’s interesting to see Budapest in the top 3 most affordable regions with its renowned popularity for its spas.”
