Holy Trinity Redhill to Host Local Community Event

From Friday July 5 to Saturday July 6 2019, Holy Trinity Redhill will be showcasing a huge variety of art from the local community at their Connected By Arts event, taking place at Holy Trinity Church, London Road, Redhill. The main purpose is to bring the community together and help generate cash for the Connected Building Project which is set to become a permanent community centre for the local area.

The Connected By Arts event aims to play a part in the fundraising for the church’s extension, which with enough funding hopes to start in 2020. The new building will bring the historic church into a new era with space for all generations to come together and enjoy for the next 100 years.

The exhibition itself has a wide range of over 100 exhibits including vibrant paintings, hand-crafted knitting, quilting and much more, some of which will be auctioned. Whether you’re looking to spruce up your home decor with some unique pieces of art or just want to admire the talents of the local community, the Connected By Arts fundraiser has a lot to offer.

Jane Hendry, the organiser of Connected By Arts said “We are honoured to host such a large and diverse range of artistic talent from our local community. The Connected Building Project will have a massive impact on the Redhill and Reigate community, creating exciting spaces to bring together people of all ages and backgrounds”.

The event takes place between 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM on the Friday July 5 2019 and between 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM on the Saturday July 6 2019, where the auction will take place. The admission price is £2 per family which includes an exhibition catalogue, soft drinks and some musical interludes. In addition to the standard event there is also the auction of promises on Saturday at 5:00 PM with a £1 entry fee.
