Hyperconverged solution HC3 was also recognised for its low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and impressive feature set

LONDON, UK, November 5th, 2019 - Scale Computing, a market leader in edge computing, virtualisation and hyperconverged solutions, today announced that it has been recognised by global research house, GigaOm, for its noteworthy capabilities in edge-core cloud integration, data protection, ease of use, feature set and TCO. The recognition comes as part of a wider report from GigaOm analyst Enrico Signoretti titled Key Criteria for Evaluating Enterprise HCI, which analyses several aspects and important features of modern storage systems.

The report highlights the success of Scale Computing’s backup and DR capabilities, outlining how its easy-to-use solution for backup and DR of single and distributed edge-cloud infrastructures allows administrators to take snapshots of VMs in remote locations and centralise them on a central repository, in the cloud, or in a core data centre cluster, that can also be used for DR purposes. GigaOm’s research also found that the HC3 solution from Scale Computing is notable for its focus on system simplicity when it comes to the user experience.

Scale Computing is recognised in the report for its impact on flexibility, with the findings stating that the company has built one of the most complete end-to-end solutions for SMB, distributed enterprise, and edge computing use cases. One of the key drivers of this flexibility is the noted ease-of-use with HC3, which is described to be designed perfectly for small teams with limited time resources, as the management console is intuitive and integrated within the cluster, which ensures inexperienced operators can keep the system always efficient.

“It is a great honour to receive this recognition from GigaOm for our success in those areas that are so vital to businesses when choosing a HCI vendor,” comments Jeff Ready, CEO at Scale Computing. “The report is further evidence of our continued commitment to providing our customers with ease of use, lower TCO and exceptional data protection among other benefits. With Scale Computing HC3, we are dedicated to continuing to enable businesses of all sizes to succeed with an easy to use, highly available, cost-effective solution for IT professionals, that grows and expands as their organisation does. ”
