Everbridge, a global provider of SaaS-based unified critical communications solutions, today announced that it has appointed Darren Smith as Head of Professional Services. Smith assumes immediate responsibility for the existing professional services, implementations and sales engineering departments, as well as joining the EMEA Senior Management team.
Prior to joining Everbridge, Smith was Head of Business Continuity Management at Experian. Here he led the business continuity, organisational resilience, ITDR and crisis management teams across the UK & Ireland, EMEA and APAC regions, concentrating on the design and implementation of a Governance program in readiness for Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) application and regulation.
Before this, Smith spent seven years as Vice President, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, EMEA at Northern Trust Corp where he was instrumental in building a globally resilient organisation. Additionally, Smith was responsible for the UK and EMEA alternate data centre and workspace provision, including a multi-million dollar build and implementation of proprietary sites.
