Jonathan Couch joins ThreatQuotient as Vice President of Strategy
Threat intelligence industry leader will help company advance vision and accelerate innovation
Reading, UK – 29th June — ThreatQuotient, a leading provider of enterprise-class threat intelligence platforms, today announced that Jonathan Couch has joined the company’s executive team as Vice President of Strategy. Couch, a pioneer in threat intelligence, brings extensive experience with how enterprises struggle to translate vast amounts of cybersecurity data into actionable threat intelligence. In his role, Couch is responsible for collaborating with ThreatQuotient’s partners and customers to better secure and enable their business, and defining product and technology plans that will directly impact the company’s software roadmap and strategic partnerships.
Prior to joining ThreatQuotient, Couch was Co-Founder and Vice President for iSIGHT Partners, a cyber threat intelligence firm formed in 2007 and acquired by FireEye in 2016. Couch holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has over 20 years of experience in information security, information warfare and intelligence collection. He is an expert in leading advanced cyber warfare, cybersecurity, information operations and policy. He served in the Air Force at the National Security Agency, the Air Force Information Warfare Center and in Saudi Arabia for the Joint Task Force. After the military, Couch led a 25-member research and development team at Sytex Inc., later acquired by Lockheed Martin's Advanced Technology Labs in 2005.
“Threat intelligence is one of the most important aspects of any security architecture. Unfortunately, impactful and timely use of this data has been limited to a few of the most sophisticated organisations,” said Couch. “I am pleased to be a part of an organisation that understands this dilemma and has built a platform that enables organisations of all sizes to make fast and informed decisions that are customised to their unique environments.”
ThreatQuotient helps the businesses and customers they serve to stay secure. In an era of rapidly increasing and evolving digital threats, ThreatQuotient’s threat intelligence platform (TIP), ThreatQ™, uniquely protects company assets and customer data by delivering customised intelligence with greater accuracy and reduced response times. ThreatQ makes existing resources more efficient and effective.
“Couch has a deep understanding of the threat intelligence market and the challenges organisations face when trying to get the most out of their security resources,” stated John Czupak, President and CEO at ThreatQuotient. “As we continue to execute on our vision of being the foremost authority on operationalising threat intelligence, we are excited to welcome Couch as the latest industry veteran to our team.”
