MunchMap launches first Kickstarter Campaign
MunchMap (also know as the Instagram of food) launched their first Kickstarter campaign today, in a bid to raise 50,000 GBP for development of a counterpart Android application for their platform, plus several important and highly functional feature upgrades.
Munchmap opened the doors to their food sharing platform on the AppStore for iOS users in early January 2016, and after an overwhelmingly positive response from initial users of the app, they decided to get underway with development of the Android app ASAP; which will be made available for free download from the Google Play Store and their website.
MunchMap revolutionizes the way you record your food journeys and how you decide on future meal choices. Previously we haven’t had a single place to easily record everything we eat, including a photo, time stamp, location & venue tagging, friend tagging and star ratings. Plus, a way to see what our friends and family are eating and the things they recommend, rather than following recommendations from strangers. How can we really trust reviews from people we don’t know?
The MunchMap iOS app is entirely free to download and use, and provides an easy, logical and organized way to manage and store your food data. It’s an entirely new concept that will take some getting used to, but it makes a lot of sense and has many benefits.
The sheer chronological order and the way to browse through all the things you have eaten with ease, is already a wonderful and helpful utility. Then being able to search through what your friends and family have eaten in any particular restaurant or eatery, is a game changer. We trust our friends and family, it’s easy to rely on these recommendations and it’s a helpful and easy way to identify yummy dishes and avoid disappointment.
Being able to browse via photos and images of the food, or being able to browse via the map or location are also very useful. You can upload homemade food, snacks, your favourite candy or chocolate and every restaurant meal and dish.
MunchMap is very similar in concept to that of Instagram, it provides you the tools to build a profile, tag and record everything and follow whoever you want, plus you have privacy tools to protect your data in the ways you see fit. Our guess is that they will smash their target of 50,000 GBP because it’s such a worthwhile service that everyone should use, and they are only going to improve it even more.
Stretch into your pocket today and give the guys at MunchMap a helping hand to get the Android version live, so the rest of us can enjoy it! Visit their Kickstarter fund raising campaign here to donate now: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/495600312/munchmap-the-...
