OrderWise integration with NetDespatch enables its customer base to seamlessly integrate with leading carriers such as Royal Mail and Yodel

Marlow, 30 November 2016 – Leading online fishing tackle retailer, Total Fishing Tackle, has dramatically streamlined its order fulfilment processes by implementing a joint OrderWise and NetDespatch solution.

Amy Cook, Business Operations Manager at Total Fishing Tackle, comments: “Before using this solution we had a purely manual system. This would often result in people picking the wrong items, or sometimes going to pick an item that wasn’t even on the shelves, due to stock management issues”

“Now, thanks to this joint OrderWise and NetDespatch solution we have a fully automated system which not only has time and cost saving benefits, but also dramatically increases our accuracy in terms of picking the right item all of the time. This has enabled us to go from a more error laden system to one of fully automated accuracy and the knock-on effect is that order picking productivity is increased.”

OrderWise, the stock control, inventory management and order management business software, is part of the NetDespatch Partner Programme which enables its customers to seamlessly integrate with carriers such as APC Overnight, Royal Mail and Yodel, through the NetDespatch platform, printing the correct carrier compliant labels and required documentation in just a few clicks.

Another particular challenge for OrderWise, prior to its integration with NetDespatch, was that certain carriers were unable to provide the information needed in order to integrate OrderWise with their software. As a result, OrderWise had to invest in a lot of additional development time, including manually transferring information.

Jon Roberts, Sales and Marketing Manager at OrderWise comments, “For our customers manually transferring information from OrderWise into separate carrier systems not only takes up massive amounts of time, especially if large order volumes are being handled, but it also leaves the door open for transposition errors. Problems like these can not only slow despatch times but can also lead to a drop in customer service standards.

Jon Roberts continues, “By integrating with a system like NetDespatch, our customers are able to seamlessly integrate to a wide range of carrier services, including leading providers like Royal Mail, Yodel and APC Overnight through one easy-to-use interface. In this industry, every second counts and this allows organisations using OrderWise and NetDespatch together to reap the benefits because they no longer need to manually transfer information across to their chosen carriers and as a result they enjoy a much faster despatch process.”
