CPA GLOBAL APPOINTS LUCY ARCHER AS CHIEF PRIVACY OFFICER

October 10, 2017 – LONDON. CPA Global® announces that Lucy Archer, former UK Data Protection Officer with Ernst & Young, joins CPA Global to lead privacy, data protection and other regulatory issues as Chief Privacy Officer. Lucy will be responsible for global compliance with data protection legislation and internal policy, as well as building a culture of excellence around protecting and managing data responsibly.

As a subject matter expert in her field, Lucy has been a long-standing member of the ICAEW Privacy Working Party which creates guidance for accountancy firms on how to comply with data protection regulation.

The key question is ‘what can we do culturally to influence better data management and make best practice part of daily routine?’ It is my job to ensure CPA Global takes a leadership role in global data management best practice.”

Lucy will work closely with all stakeholders to ensure CPA Global is playing its part in addressing privacy and data protection issues designed to strengthen and unify data protection including the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the EU-US Privacy Shield Policy.
