Wrike is officially announcing Wrike for Windows and Wrike for Mac, which allow for stronger focus on work

Award-Winning App Provides ‘Browserless’ Experience, Enabling Users to Better Focus on Work

London, UK, July 11, 2018 — Wrike, the collaborative work management platform for high-performance teams, today announced a desktop application that provides a browserless experience for Wrike users. After a soft launch that saw rapid user adoption and a 2018 Windows Developer Award for Commercial Innovator of the Year, Wrike is officially announcing Wrike for Windows and Wrike for Mac, which allow for stronger focus on work by removing the distraction of multiple, assorted tabs in a browser.

“We keep a laser focus on the needs of our customers,” said Wrike CEO and Founder Andrew Filev. “With so many digital tools that workers must access today, it’s important to make work management as frictionless as possible, and we continue to innovate in that regard, while keeping the customer experience a top priority. The Windows Developer Award and overwhelmingly positive feedback from our customers is welcome validation for our approach to product development.”

The Wrike desktop app has all the functions of the web application version of the platform.
Benefits and features include:

• Increased focus – Removes the distraction of multiple, assorted tabs in a browser;
• Ease of access – Pin the app to a taskbar or dock, and have it open automatically at computer startup;
• More control – Fine-tune notifications via operating system settings and respond more quickly to changes in Wrike;
• Greater visibility – Open additional Wrike tasks in separate windows or in tabs like a browser.

"Wrike’s desktop app, along with integrations into Microsoft Teams and other Office 365 apps, reflect the company’s commitment to meeting the needs of its customers in exciting, modern, and innovative ways,” said Microsoft Windows Developer Marketing Manager Chanse Arrington. “It was Wrike’s relentless creativity and dedication to helping workers improve communication, collaboration, and productivity that rightfully earned them a Windows Developer Award this year.”
