Yamaha Music London announces exciting plans for Learn to Play Weekend 2019

Yamaha Music London, Yamaha’s flagship music store in Wardour Street is excited to announce that it will be giving away hundreds of free music taster sessions on some of the best instruments in the world to celebrate Music for All’s Learn to Play UK wide event on 23 and 24 March 2019.

Returning for its’ eighth year, Learn to Play Weekend will offer Yamaha Music London customers the chance to have a free ‘taster’ lesson and learn licks, riffs and tips from friendly, professional music teachers.

Learn To Play Weekend is a fun family weekend event and everyone is invited regardless of age or ability. It encourages beginners to start making music or for lapsed musicians to pick up an instrument again.

There will be free music lessons on a larger range of instruments than in previous years including acoustic and electric guitars, piano, brass, violin, drums, saxophone and a quirky, brand new instrument the Venova! There is no obligation to buy just come along and get inspired.

And with music from Debussy to Drum 'n' Bass and everything in between, booming out from all three floors of the store – it is a unique and unmissable event.


To avoid disappointment Yamaha Music London would like to encourage everyone to “Save the Date” and remember to arrive early on Saturday and Sunday as the free places are available on a first come first served basis.
